Training -- Subject :  Powers of Gongfu -- Withdrawing the sexual organs inside the body without the use of touch and withstanding a powerful kick to the groin - running a steel spoke sideways through the throat, hanging a two gallon water bucket from each end, all with no blood or injury - placing a 2 x 2 on top of two raw eggs, breaking the board in two with a club, but not harming the eggs - placing molten lead in your mouth until it is solid, spitting it out, the lead being too hot for anyone to pick up even after 10 to 15 minutes of cooling.

It is my opinion that feats like those described above are possible for virtually any practitioner of the arts.  One must concentrate the Qi and spend time practicing to develop that specific demonstration.  So with that in mind I want to interject some of my personal beliefs about the practice and the powers of Gongfu.

Dr. Wong has said many times that the true end of Gongfu is Enlightenment.  Call it Union with the Dao, Oneness with God, Samadhi, Total Consciousness, or whatever.  I believe this to be true and that Gongfu is but one way among many that this state can be achieved.  The main point, however, is that there are many stages between the beginning of practice and the end of Enlightenment.  If at any stage you become "attached" to your abilities, you can no longer progress.

Power is an alluring trap.  To continue to progress you must not dwell on your strengths.  For this reason I recommend you do not demonstrate your power to others or consider yourself superior to non-practitioners of the arts.  Just continue on with your daily practice and take what comes naturally as the reward of your effort.

Increased physical strength, total immunity to disease, psychic knowledge, literally unbeatable self-defense skill, levitation, the ability to become invisible, the power to move people or things without "touching" them, long life or immortality, etc. are all some of the things associated with practitioners of Gongfu.  These things are natural outgrowths of long and proper practice of the ancient methods.  No short cuts, no secrets.  The people who have reached the highest levels were never concerned when they found themselves with such abilities.  They knew what to expect and it came.

My advise to you is this:  Believe in your practice; train with no specific goal to achieve; accept what comes as natural.  You will have abilities you never dreamed of.

Dr. Wong has given us all the information to reach the Ultimate.  It is up to us to get there.
