Training -- Subject: Regularity of Training -- In a discussion with the great Master Kuo Lien Ying (now nearly 90) of San Francisco, he made the statement, "If you miss one day of practice, it takes 10 days to make it up".  This has been the fundamental principle of Internal Gongfu since its inception.  In the teachings of the Association, we should always make a point to pass this on to our students.  Gongfu power is like the proverbial "thread of silk" analogy in the Taijiquan Classics.  Pulled slowly and evenly with no interruptions or abruptness, the thread will maintain consistency.  Stop and restart and it will break, leaving you to begin completely anew.

The lesson here is to do something of your Gongfu practice daily.  If you have no more than 15 minutes or can only remember ten Taiji postures, or one of the Five Elements, or just standing or seated meditation - anything -  just DO IT!

Set up a regular schedule, even if other things in your life require the majority of your time, and never miss it.  You will be surprised at your progress.  Another reward is a unique sense of stability, even when external circumstances are changing rapidly.  It's a great feeling and a great source of power.
